Is there a limit on how many Pins I can download?

No. There's no free tier that runs out and no paid plan. Whole boards are free at any size.

Does it download sections too?

Yes. On a board, each section becomes a folder in the ZIP. On a section page, Download section saves just that section.

Will it download every Pin, or only what's on screen?

Every Pin on the board. PinToMP4 reads the board's list from Pinterest instead of scrolling, so it doesn't depend on what has loaded on your screen.

Does it include the suggested Pins under the board?

No. Only the board's own Pins are saved.

A spreadsheet in the ZIP with one row per Pin: position, section, Pin link, title, description, outbound link, file names and status. Open it in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.

Can I pick only some Pins?

Yes. Use Select Pins, tick the ones you want, then download them as one ZIP.

What happens with a very large board?

It's split into several ZIPs of up to 500 files or about 1 GB each, so nothing crashes partway.

Do I need a Pinterest account?

Not for public boards. Private boards need you signed in to Pinterest in the same Chrome profile.

Why a board downloader needs to get every Pin

People back up boards for moodboards, client work, printing, and in case a Pin or an account disappears. That only works if the download is complete. Two things usually go wrong: a free tier that stops after 15 to 50 Pins, and a tool that scrolls the page and quits halfway, or grabs the suggested Pins under the board by mistake.

PinToMP4 reads the board's own list of Pins from Pinterest, page by page, until it has them all. It doesn't scroll your screen, and it skips the "More ideas" Pins below the board.

How to download a Pinterest board

Click Add to Chrome and confirm in the Chrome Web Store.
Open the board or one of its sections on pinterest.com in Chrome. A bar appears at the bottom of the page: Download board, with the number of Pins.
Click it. The panel counts the Pins as they save, then gives you the ZIP in your downloads folder.

You can cancel at any time.

What's in the ZIP

Every Pin, numbered in board order. File names start 0001, 0002 and so on, followed by a short title and the Pin ID, so they sort the way the board reads.
Sections as folders. Each section's Pins go in a folder named after the section.
The right file for each Pin. Videos as MP4 with sound (the largest Pinterest serves, about 720 pixels wide), images at full original size, GIFs still animated, and every image from Pins that have several.
A pins.csv. One row per Pin: its position, section, link, title, description, outbound link, file names and whether it was saved.

Select Pins

Don't want the whole board? Click Select Pins, tick the Pins you want, and the button changes to "Download 3 selected" (or however many you picked). You get one ZIP with just those Pins, in board order, plus a pins.csv for them.

Big boards

Very large boards are split into several ZIPs of up to 500 files or about 1 GB each, so the download finishes instead of stalling. The pins.csv for the whole board is in the last ZIP.

If a Pin's original file has been removed from Pinterest, it can't be saved. It's listed in pins.csv as unavailable, so you know exactly what's missing.

Honest limits

One board or section at a time. Downloading every board on a profile in one click isn't supported yet.
Video stops at about 720 pixels wide. That's the largest Pinterest serves: 720 × 1280 for vertical videos, smaller for landscape ones.
Private boards download only if you can open them yourself while signed in to Pinterest in Chrome.
Desktop Chrome only. There's no phone version.
